Beachside Bakers was tri-founded in 2010 by Jessica Adam, Sara Adam, and Caitlin Coates in Gloucester, MA. The business started with our love for baking and experimenting in the kitchen. We began baking cupcakes for beach parties and yacht club events as a fun summer job. The following summer, we took our favorite hobby to a higher level and expanded by selling cupcakes at our local Cape Ann Farmers market. We joined a non-profit organization for teen artist entrepreneurs called T.A.G (Teen Artist Guild) in Gloucester, MA which provided us with a table to sell cupcakes at the market. Since 2010, Beachside Bakers has hired new employees, held cupcake decorating classes at the Department of Community Services in Andover, MA, and added several new baked goods to their business. The past few summers have been an incredibly rewarding experience as we have learned how to start a small business. We have had to work with many people from licensing our home for food service, making sure the product is ready for the general public, meeting deadlines, and finding high quality ingredients at an affordable price. This process has been an exciting journey, and our business received a lot of attention. The Gloucester Times frequently highlights us in the local newspaper. This past summer we catered our first party, which was also exciting. 10% of our profit is donated to Cape Ann Art Haven, 10% of our profit is donated to Cape Ann Farmer’s Market, donations are also made to Andover Department of Community Services. Please check out our designs! Place an order, plan a party, or just email us at jessica@beachsidebakers.com :)
Summer is pretty far away but the bakers and I are keeping busy in the kitchen! Veering from the beach themed cupcakes this winter we decorated ornaments!
We celebrated Halloween with these skeleton cupcakes!
They are so simple to make! All it takes is a delicious cupcake, chocolate and vanilla frosting with a marshmallow! I even brought them into my anatomy class when we were studying the bones!
10% of our profits goes to the non-profit, charitable Perfect Storm Foundation. The PSF provides an educational opportunity to kids whose parents make a living in the commercial fishing industry in Gloucester, MA.
